Storage black hole help!
I can honestly say that we have enjoyed every minute in our new Passport 2850RL and could even go so far as to say it is perfect.... Except for one thing. There is an area under the sink that has become storage hell. While there are drawers to the right and a shelf (with cabinet door) off toward the exit door, the area directly below the sink has become a black hole of storage: you can put something in there, but there is no promise that it will ever come out. Because of the plumbing there really is no way to put a shelf in there. So it has become like a closet at home where you have to close the door quickly so the contents don't come falling out. I realize it is hard to explain without pictures. But if anyone is familiar with the design and can offer storage solutions, it would be very helpful.

I'll give Hank a chance to comment here ...
Some of us older members would describe this as "Fibber McGee's Closet".
Younger members will have to Google this phrase.

Hi, I use that space for my garbage can. That was what I was told it was for. It works good for that. I am like you I would like to put something else in there but our hot water heater is behind a panel in the under sink space so we just use it for a garbage can spot. I not exactly sure how you cabinet space is laid out, but may that is what it is meant for. Hope that helps.

I have a 2910BH and on my under sink shelf I installed a white wire basked draw/organizer. So when I open the cabinet draw I can pull this basket out full length and I store every day cooking supplies.

I am familiar with the origin of the phrase "Fibber McGee's closet". I have to confess, however that it's something that was passed along from my dad!

I'm thinking of enlarging the cutout on the exit door side of my counter and installing a counter top dish washer. Since plumbing and power is right there may not be difficult.

Ours is that way too, a spaghetti mess of plumbing. The dw puts a skillet, pots and pans ans also cookie sheets. It works.

I like the wire basket idea. I used little plastic bins to keep stuff in but it was still difficult to find things.
