Tv antenna amplifier

Hello all, I recently purchased a new 2014 Montana High Country mod 305 RL. My question is where is the tv antenna amplifier located? Both me and my DW never thought of it while doing our walk thru as the tv's were all working at the dealership. Now that we have the unit home we cannot receive any tv channels at all and can not locate the amplifier. Thanks in advanced for all your responses.

Unless you have an unusual installation:

Look for a wall plate near a (one of them) TV where the TV coax connects for it's signal. There should be a button on the plate -- press on , led on the late should lite up. This applied power to the TV antenna Amp and connects the antenna signal to your TV. Press again, Led off -- this kills power to the Tv antenna Amp and connects your cable Tv input on the camper to your TV set signal input.

There is a small button next to the antenna plug, push it in and a small green light will come on. MAKE SURE YOUR ANTENNA IS CRANKED UP

My 2011 has a 12 volt TV in the bedroom the button is behind the 12 volt plug. It’s easy to see if you pull the 12 volt plug,

That's where mine is in the Cougar. In the passport, it was in the entertainment center next to the outlet the TV plugged into. Think of it as a treasure hunt!

The amp is in the antenna head. The power button / LED is inside on the wall.

TV antenna amplifier location

In ours 5th wheel Cougar, the amplifier is in the bedroom right behind the wall plate with the antenna connection/12 volt plug/LED and button. Removing the wall plate, you can pull out the amplifier and see it is in the line. Some of the newer Winegard plates and amplifiers have it all integrated into just the plate, but I would assume not most, but not sure.

The amplifier included with our RV is a very small, limited little amplifier. Over the years, we've had several different RVs, and each one has had varying success at our favorite camping spot for TV reception. On our current 5ver we have poor reception, so I upgraded the Winegard Sensar to a JACK antenna, after seeing positive reviews, and .... wait for it .... It didn't matter.
If we're staying anywhere for a few days, I pull out a homemade antenna, and a better amplifier and connect through the external antenna coax. I go from probably 2 weak channels to 15+ channels using the homemade version.

Thanks everyone for your quick responses on the matter. I was finally able to locate the amp after reading the comments. This was not an easy task by all means it is located behind the bedroom tv inside of the exterior wall. Somehow the wire came off of the push button switch on the cable plate. Anyhow I can now receive tv channels.
