If you are on a "permanent site" and have a "permanent battery" that remains connected "permanently as long as the trailer is permanently connected to shore power, your issue may be a battery problem.
It takes both a "fully charged battery" and "shore power" to move the slide. While a "fully charged battery" will move the slide without shore power, the opposite is not always true. Your slide motor can easily use 60-80 amps while moving a heavy slide. Your converter/charger output is only 55 amps (on most Keystone trailers). So, your converter is not capable of providing "all the power" required to move the slide. And, if your battery has a weak or a dead cell, it won't be "pulling its own weight" which can result in a slide that simply can't manage to move "that last critical inch" against the seals and the side of the trailer.... Result, a slide that stops short of being fully closed or fully open...
In short, double check your battery by taking it to a parts store where they can load test it for you.... I'd suspect it's a battery issue and the slide, if it's been working great for the last several months, is still going to work great once the motor gets adequate power.
