Power connection location
I have a 2019 315RLS. The power supply connection is in the rear almost in the middle close to the auxiliary trailer hitch. I have a bike rack that i use to haul 2 bikes. My problem is that due to the relative locations, you cannot connect the power with bikes in the rack. When we stop, we have to remove the bikes before we can connect and disconnect before we can put the bikes in the rack. I am looking for an alternate location for the connection. Does anyone have any experience or ideas.

Is your power cable connected inside? In other words, do you have to pull the electric cord out of a "mouse hole" or is the cord separated from the trailer and plugs into the trailer? 30 or 50 amp?

Sorry for lack of details.
It is a separate power cord--50 amp. I do not see any area on the rear that I can more the connector to. On the side it is just the flimsy panel

Hi Preyou,we have the same RLS 315 with the power connection in the rear. I had to remove one of the panels in the storage right by the water controls and noticed that the 50 amp power wire runs up close to there and then to the panel box (real sh@%y craftsmanship inside that area no wonder it's covered up) but anyway you could always re route the 50amp power wire out the side by the furnace and water heater and put a 50 A connection there instead of the rear. I don't think it would be to hard to do I have considered it myself. I think it would also be more convenient in that area. Remember the clowns that design and build these things never worked for NASA.

I would go with the adapter before I thought about another hole and rerouting Romex. JMHO, YMMV

I thought about the dogbone but would rather not have the additional connection. My wiring is not romex but separate wires.

Brain fart: 50A service is 4 conducter braided copper wire in a fat insulated jacket. It isn’t easy to manipulate, and having installed transfer switches/EMS and other things I still would use the dog one first.

You can actually get a 90 degree end for your power cord instead of a dog bone. You can also get hitch extensions. I have a molded fiberglass rear cap and my receiver hitch doesn’t extend out far enough for a bike rack so I bought a 10” extension for it. Here’s a link for an 8”. I doubt you’d need more space that that for your power cord

You can buy a similar receiver extension at Harbor Freight for $19.99. I wouldn't use it for a 5000 pound trailer or for a weight distribution assembly, but for 200 pounds of bikes, why pay $50 for a $20 piece of steel ???
