1994 chev 4x4 1/2 ton question

Ok i have been looking around and have seen many different specs for the same truck??? for example the stiker on the door of my truck says the GVW is 6200, The artical i just read says its 7500? Anyone lay some light on this for me.

Bob, The sticker on your door is correct. It takes in to consideration the axles, springs, rims, tires and all options that came from the factory on YOUR truck. The article was a similar truck ... not yours. I hope this helps, Hank

They made 2 versions of the 1/2 ton. One is fice lug nuts, one is 6.

Go with your door sticker.

The five lug wheel were the two wheell drive and six were the 4x4. Now they did have a heavy half ton which had the 6 lug seim float 14 bolt axle. Now being that your door sticker says 6200 you probly have the lite duty.
