Metal Valve Stems for Sendel T03BM Wheel?
For those that have the Sendel T03BM wheels on your TT, please let me know what metal valve stem you had installed. Was it for a .438" or .625" stem hole diameter and did you go short of medium length? Anyone using flow thu TPMS sensors or are you using sensor caps?
This is the wheel I am referring to:
Thanks in advance for sharing your setup.

To be honest, I couldn't tell you what size stem they are, but Sendel can and they are very quick to respond. Discount Tire installed the stems when they installed my new tires. I have the short stems installed and use the TST 507 sensor caps not the flow through. I initially bought the standard sensors because they could be used with the rubber stems, but quickly found out that they can't. Now I wish I had gone with the flow through sensors. It wasn't as big of a deal when I stored my RV outside on a storage lot because I removed the sensors for theft/security reasons. I would bring the RV home, check tire pressures, and then install the sensors. Now I have my RV stored inside and have no reason to remove the sensors, but have to in order to adjust air pressure. Someday soon I am upgrading my wheels to the T11. At that time I'm seriously considering getting the TST 507 internal sensors for the RV and dually, but $790 for 10 sensors is a serious chunk of change.

I take advantage of the fact that the Tire Minder System does not have flow through transmitters. Basically every time I check the tire pressure manually and/or add air by taking the transmitters off tests the TPMS. This simulates the condition of a blowout where tire pressure goes from max to zero in a very short period of time and triggers a blowout indication and alarm. I prefer knowing that the system is functioning over the slight inconvenience of having to screw off the transmitters.

I have the same wheels only in silver with no black. My metal stems are from a local auto parts store. They came with both size gasket/seals for both size holes. However mine were the smaller dia hole size.

That's not a bad thing either.

Thanks for the info Quad. Would you consider your stems short (~1") or medium (~1.5') length?

Your comment paraptor also got me thinking that caps are the way to go.

I'm thinking mine are the shorter 1". But I don't think the extra .5" would make a difference if you wanted to use them.

The alarms are intended to go off with a low pressure condition (you set the parameters) or a rapid air loss condition. I think you can test/simulate the condition with the flow through stems by letting some air out as well. The fast leak alarm on the TST is set if 6 psi or more is lost within 12 seconds. I know you can let that much out through the stem.

Kelly in CS at Sendel (Tireco) just confirmed that the stem hole is .438" diameter.
Now to find the metal stems locally and decide on caps or flow thru.
Thanks for all the insights.

An update (a year later):
I ended up going with the N-1600 Ford F Series Truck Valve and the TST 507 sensor caps (not the flow thru).
