generator question

When we bought our new Hideout our keystone dealer said a lot of the rv owners are now buying two 2000 watt generators and tying them together instead of the heavier and bigger units. just wondering if this is the case

Yes, many people have done this, Honda's in particular, but it's not a matter of which is better, it's a matter of how deep your pockets are and mine are pretty shallow, but it also depends on what your needs are too, the Honda's are about as quiet as you can get in a generator but for me, I use the generator in the national parks where there are no facilities, and their rules are: no generator running (Honda or otherwise) during quiet hours (8pm to 8am) and outside of quiet hours to please run the generator for no more than 1 hour at a time to recharge your batteries or use the microwave or AC. Any generator will do following these rules IMO, the generator that I use is in my signature, it weighs about 100lbs, has a 30amp RV plug on it, and my wife and I lift it out of the back of the TV and wheel it into position.

Hey Fred, thats what I plan on doing before our first outing in a couple of weeks. Basically you buy the EU2000iA and the EU2000iA Companion aswell as the Parallel Cables. This will allow you to obtain 4000 watts to run everything in the trailer. Then you have an option of pulling one and taking it with you on a boat.....etc.

Hey Flyguy, How Do You Like Your P3? Got Mine Hooked Up But Haven't Pull With It Yet. Seems Pretty Informative.

Yes I do although the old one worked fine too, it was the model before the P3. I had to use about 2 stages of boost to get the braking response that I wanted, works great!

Go solar, cheaper, more dependable, a lot quieter.
