Switches?

Recently purchased a 2004 Cougar. We can not figure out what these switches are for. The previous owner says they are for outside lights. There are only 2 outside lights and they currently don't work but there are 3 switches. These switches are next to a black master switch that controls all the lights in living area and kitchen. Any help would be appreciated

JR84, Howdy;

to the that is RVing ...

Have you tried turning on the 'Master Switch then working the other
switches? Poke your head out and check the Big Outside lights while
you have it (Master), energized. My Cougar is an '08 but things don't
change that much from year to year.
Mine are from Right to Left
R) Front porch light
Ctr) Kitchen & Living area (check the switches on each of these and see if
they are on or off).
L) Big outside (aka scare). lights

Be sure that you have 12vdc working either by plugging into 30amp 120vac.
or plugged into the tow vehicle.

Hope this helps.

Again, welcome to the forum. Have a Happy and safe 4th of July weekend

hankaye

PS. Fill in some information into your signature area
such as model and year of your RV so that we can better
help in the future.

If all are outside lights, you have a porch light and front "scare" light and possibly a rear or curb side light. Travel safely, Hank

Thanks for the help

I only have 2 lights outside 1 in the back by the door and 1 up front on the side.
As you can tell 1 of the 3 switches from my first photo is wore a lot more then the other 2. I figure it must have been used more often. I have replaced bulbs in both outside lights and checked fuses so I'm at a loss. 🙁
BTW the black master switch is on when trying to figure the 3 white switches.

I'd guess it may well be an inside ceiling light. Which one ???? Maybe the best way would be to turn them all on and see if that switch will turn any of them off ???

Or, possibly it's for a porch light/step light? The two lights you show in pictures are both "scare lights". Usually there's a small "porch light" next to the entry door and/or a clearance light that's mounted on the trailer frame rail behind the folding steps. On our Cougar (2014 model) the porch light and step light both are connected to the same switch that's located on the "switch panel" in the hallway.

Switches

I will look under by the steps. The steps are currently folded up and a small wooden porch/steps are in front of the door.
I will continue to play with combinations and see if I can figure it out.
The two "scare" lights aren't currently working either even with new bulbs.
