About Time!

The wife and I bought a TT, so naturally we have had a snowy April with no chance of getting it ready for the road, that time has finally ended, our first TT will be taking it's shake down trip this weekend. Lots of planning went into the purchase and I'm excited so I just needed an outlet to get it out!

Have a ball, and WELCOME from Stonington, CT!

When you get home, check out "Normandy Farms " website in Foxboro, MA for a 5-star Resort experience a half hour from home! There are also tons of good experiences within a few hours drive.

Welcome to the forum from Southern MD. Enjoy that new rig. We've been out twice this year. In March it was in the 60s during the day. Last weekend was cold in VA where we camped but they had Snow at home in MD.

Have a great weekend, where are you going. Not a lot open yet. Our first outing is in 3 weeks and our second is a week later at Normandy Farms. Enjoy.

I'll have to check out Normandy Farms, a few people mentioned it, KOA in Mystic is open and we wanted to check out the brewery in Stonington so it kind of works out for us. When we tent camped we liked the KOA's because we knew the standard they operated on so we would know what to expect so we took a similar thought with our first run.

We installed a 30A in the driveway so we could test everything out already and have a way to continually monitor everything and charge it up, so we've done the driveway camping already :P but nothing beats taking the show on the road.

By April we just take the chance and go, no matter what. Right now we're spending a few weeks in Santa Fe. We went south to get out of the cold. We always pick Santa Fe because we love it here, it's pretty close to us, and by this time it's usually at least 65 degrees and sunny each day. We are eating breakfast and watching it snow outside! But we're enjoying ourselves anyway.

Same here, new trailer haven't taken out yet. Doing final prep & stocking to camp somewhere close for shakedown. Probably safe to do the initial disinfect of the fresh water tank w/o worrying about it freezing!

follow up

All in all it went well for us, a bit windy and due to fire warnings we didn't roast ourselves near the firepit...wife wasn't happy about not having smore's

KJJ we were worried about the same thing with the fresh water tank, but it won't freeze if its sloshing down the road I suppose :P weather is getting better and better!
