Making coffee in the RV
I have a perc pot and a french press as well as a B&D thermal carafe coffee maker with a metal mesh filter.
Question is how do you grind the beans? I am looking for a hand grinder or battery powered recommendations so I don't have to fire up the GEN to grind coffee in the morning.

Nah I get it. We have a small Silex? At home. Anyway to wire in a small inverter ?
Tastes are all over the place. I don’t get wine and why it’s so popular. IPA is about at bitter as it gets.
But I can definitely taste the difference from Johnny Red, Black, Green, Gold and Blue.

I do have a small inverter for the TV and Blu ray.
I can say the same for salmon and I prefer saltwater over freshwater caught.
The Jack Daniels Green label and Black label are totally different. The bottles of single barrel vary too.

Oh yeah the salt salmon are the best. They hit fresh water and start their slow death. I’ll only fish for them in Tide water or ocean down here.

Same for us, if dry camping we use a Melitta 10 cup "pour over" drip coffee maker. If we have power, we use an electric drip coffee maker. As for "fresh ground" beans, we buy Community coffee, already ground, vacuum packed into "bricks" and it makes us happy every morning, opens our eyes and tastes just like the coffee Grandma used to make 60 years ago... That's "been good enough for us" since we got married 50 years ago (this coming Friday).....
Amazon does have several manual and battery operated "bean grinders". I'm not sure I'd be "functional enough before the first cup" to even operate that contraption LOL

I use shore power and use a Cuisinart grind and brew. Burr grinders are the best.
Starbucks will grind your beans for you on site and give you a cup to go.

As my site name indicates I will drink just about and cup of coffee. When I first started I didn`t touch the stuff. One of the old timers said that that wouldn`t last long and he was right. All coffee is good in the morning lol

I use one of these:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Works great and you can adjust the coarseness of the grind.

making coffee
We have almost completely converted to a Keurig coffee pod machine at home and in the RV. It's so quick and easy. DW loves Starbucks French Roast pods and I like Walmart French Roast Pods (half the price of Starbucks). This is just one step in our goal to spend our kid's inheritance!

Looks like last post before this was 6 months ago. I guess you've been "brewing" over joining the forum for a while.
Sorry, couldn't help myself. Welcome to the forum!

wife doesnt drink coffee so its just me. Honestly, I'll drink whatever. Keep instant in the trailer, just boil water either with kettle or stovetop/pot depending on power.

And there you go!! Used to be so particular about coffee; brands, grind, flavor etc. Paid premium bucks for years. I had to quit because of heart, blood pressure etc. Stopped for many years until I could drink it and not feel like I was 3/4 blitzed. Went with decaf first, then had to be "light" decaf; then back to decaf tea. Now, back to coffee again (I really like it); I even use full leaded but instant. One cup in the AM. DW sold me on the instant. Hated it at first but now is about the best I get when we travel; so many places will knock your socks off with the coffee they serve.
Now the kids, (they just haven't had their heart run away) ..... DD just came thru headed to our places in NM and CO. Wanted me to buy her some coffee for the trip; some sort of Folgers dark roast I'd never heard of (custom grinds just don't happen here). At our cabin in the mountains I was putting water in my cup while the coffee maker was brewing her "dark roast". I told her just the smell of that strong stuff almost put me enroute to a cardiologist!! At home she uses all these custom coffees and grinds.
Just to say that because one doesn't drink the perceived "good stuff" doesn't mean they don't know what it is.

Full transparency, I am the only one that drinks it in the imeadate family. Home is a Keurig that I grind my own beans for and use the pod insert. But when camping I tend to keep it old school. A hand grinder will not disturb the DW when I get up in the early AM.
Coffee is just part of my morning ritual.
