Desk Slide Adjustment

While camping this weekend I noticed that the top of the slide, while out, has a gap from the inside between the seal and the slide. The gap is a fingers width across the top and tight at the bottom corners. When the slide is in, seems to be tight all the way around.
There are 2 adjusting bolts at the ends of the 2 rods to lift or lower the room to the frame. Is it just a simple adjustment to lower room until top seal is as tight as bottom corners when room is out and the gap is equal?
THANKS.
