Questions on my new to me rig. My previous toy hauler was simple, hose for city water or a covered hole to fill the tank. No valves at all. That I understand!

This has three connections and 3 valves. Making sure I understand what they are.

Water Heater Bypass: the control shown below the red battery disconnect pointing up. I think this setting will fill the WH. Turning it 90° will bypass the WH.

City Water Connection: hose here for city water. Bypasses filling the fresh water tank.

Freeze Guard Hose and valve: 1-5 foot of 1/4” tubing here into gallon jugs of antifreeze and the valve here on, water heater bypassed, and pump will winterize the rig. Open faucets till red comes out and good for winter.

Can someone explain Tank Fill Power Fresh (not flush) and the bottom connector with the X or cross?

Another question is how do you add bleach to the tank to clean it and lines? 100 gallon tank so how much bleach?

Your city water hose connects to the middle inlet. While connected there, you turn the valve from Normal Flow to Fill to add water to your fresh water tank, and back to Normal Flow when the tank is full (water is exiting the vent). The inlet with the X is your black tank flush inlet, and the sticker with the Caution label pertains to this inlet. Your water heater will have a check valve on the hot water outlet that prevents water from going back into the tank, so when you turn the water heater bypass valve, this prevents cold water from entering the water heater tank so when winterizing, you can pull the anode if it's a Suburban water heater or the plug if it's an Atwood/Dometic aluminum tank. The Freezegard inlet is supposed to be where you can introduce the antifreeze when winterizing. This is a link on how to sanitize the water system, https://www.rvtalk.net/how-to-sanitize-rv-water-tank/, and it says 1/2 cup of bleach for 36 gallons, so about 1 1/2 cups of bleach for the 100 gallon tank. I would say, use a funnel to pour the bleach solution into a hose, than use the tank fill feature to fill your fresh tank until it comes out of the tank vent, and then follow the rest of the instructions. This is a water schematic that I drew up several years ago for my rig, and even though it's a 2012, the water system appears to be the same, which might help you visualize your plumbing behind the convenience center wall.

Thanks Bob. I think what threw me was the black tank flush on the side of the trailer. DUH this is a bath and a half. 2 black tanks = 2 flush connectors. The one in the picture is the main/front black tank flush.

Also, with the black tank flush be AWARE there is an anti siphon valve in line with that connection . The water goes thru the anti siphon valve and thru the black tank sprayer.

If the anti siphon leaks and you aren’t aware of it thiswill flood your inside area.. the anti siphon valve is usually located up high 7nder the sink cabinet and is made of plastic .

It has a known failure rate of cracking . I’d locate this valve and either remove it entirely or replace with a brass one to reflect major hassles later down the road

Last stupid question today. After figuring out the controls and getting 2 cups of bleach and a hundred gallons of water onboard, then waiting 4 hours it was time to drain.

On my last simple rig, remove the low point caps and open faucets. Half hour later 30 gallons gone.

This one had valves but I had to run the pump to drain all 100 gallons. Did I miss a combination of settings to gravity drain?

If you look under your trailer where the fresh tank is located, there should be a stub of 1/2” PEX pipe extending through the belly material with either a cap or a valve on the end of it, and either remove the cap or open the valve to drain the tank. With 100 gallons, it will take a while.
