Slides out

Found this on an RV site.
Not sure if this guy is just lazy or being proactive for the next camping spot.

Probably had a leaking valve and couldn’t fix it.

Well - they obviously left camp before having their morning coffee.

"Honey, did you close the slides?" he asked.

"I thought you were gong to close them - did you?" she replied.

"I think so". he replied

Ha!! What a coincidence. This might be one of the campers that was in this park.

There was a fellow here that generally caused quite a bit of noise with his vehicle at 3-4am every day. He was told to park out by the laundry building unbeknownst to me. I was walking pup about 4am and his truck was there with both back doors open. I assumed someone was parking there and sleeping so advised the owner then I was told the story. Seems he had riled quite a few folks. On Dec. 1, when rent was due, about noon I heard his truck fire up, revving till I thought he was floating the valves (loud), then start what sounded like straining. Then, across the back of the property here he comes (old Chevy 1/2 ton) with a large (old) bumper pull trailer behind it; tail dragging the ground (truck) and the screw type stabilizers half up/down, no wdh. He drove across a freshly torn up area where the park is expanding and sunk the hitch/tongue but just kept on spinning and throwing dirt.....all with the slides extended. Finally got to the front area with everything seemingly intact, got out and walked around it and seemed happy, then hit the highway with the engine howling and the hitch about an inch off the pavement.....and away he went with the slides out.

Where he went I know not but he was heading N and we are here in FL so maybe he is still traveling "up there" somewhere. Hope he remembers to clean the bugs off the front of the slides when he finds a stopping place.

He's missing his "Wide Load" sign, lights, and escort.

From an optimistic techs point of view. His slide system failed and he wasn't shown the way to "override" them ( or forgot) and when he called his dealer on a sunday there wasnt a tech to tell him. The salesperson he talked to said "sure, I see the guys move them on the lot all the time with the slides out"
