I did have reservations for the holiday weekend, but my sons travel soccer team coach had other plans for us.
We leave for a tournament in Canton Michigan as soon as school gets out Friday afternoon.

We are off to Olema, California for our tenth year. You just can beat starting off summer in the Point Reyes National Seashore.

We will pack up and be home Friday by 2 PM. It will be more relaxing there than about anywhere else. We make room for those that have a job ~~ and rug rats...

We're heading up to Alcona County Park in Glennie, Mi. Pretty much in the middle of the Huron National Forest. Beautiful country up there. A good time shall be had by all...I demand it!

^^^^We try not to go anywhere on a holiday weekend. Even at our vacation home outside a resort mountain town we will not go into town due to the "craziness".

We go every year. They have changed the name to Olema Campground. But the feel of the place hasn't changed. It is less than 1.5 hours from the house and we like to go out there at least twice or more a year.

Home in the high desert. F1 Monaco and Alonso in the Indy 500.

Will BBQ something and remember what Memorial Day is all about.

We're staying home this weekend. Too many party people and the campgrounds are full already. The state forest campground down the road a mile or so has been full since last Friday. Many of the sites have only an "unoccupied tent" but tomorrow or Friday a trailer will show up on the site.

We're leaving Tuesday morning for our "secret UP lake" to do some fishing and relaxing. Last I heard, the smallmouth bass are spawning, so it'll be "catch and release" until we get tired of reeling them in. I'm guessing we'll be the only camper in the campground until Friday, then we'll make a decision (based on noise) whether to stay the weekend or head back to "civilization" and a dump station.....

We are heading out to our favorite campground. It is in the White Mountains of NH. Cannot wait to get up there Friday, early. I know many do not like holiday camping but we feel if you pick the correct campground it will be quiet and fine. We do not expect any issues as the owners of Fransted Family campground are great and keep great control of things.

Congrats Javi, we celebrated our 37th yesterday

We just got back from a couple of weeks out and plan on parking right here at the house... the pool was just re-plastered and family is coming over for grilling and beverages.

Good plan. We just got back from a week of a quite and relaxing stay at San Clemente State Beach and it was empty before we left at noon, the calm before the storm! Planning the next adventure AFTER the holiday.

South Shore Campground in Cornucopia Wisconsin.

Site #8 at the end of a loop, level, pull-through with plenty of privacy.
