Well ... went an did it ...

Howdy, All;

Well, pulled the trigger and am now the 'new' owner of a 2008 Cougar
278-RKS. Sittin out in front of my 1995 Sandpiper. Moving day is tomorrow.

Had a good walk-thru at Ardell Brown in Draper, Ut. (the dealer), they are in kahoots with CW.

Noticed some gaps in the sealant where the nose cap meets the roof, a few more around some of the overhead vents. Even with it being used they still wanted a GOOD Product rolling out of there. They up graded it to 2 Golfcart batteries with a new Double wide box with cover and vent hose connected.
They have a routine that they (dealership), likes to follow... time table sorta, I was dragging my heals by their standards... They didn't seem to mind when I reminde them I still had the check in my pocket and didn't appericate being hussled along.
The manager type was very nice after that.

After reading some of the not-so-nice experiences I was a bit hesitant ... but I really liked the Cougar. It may be 3 yrs old but looks like it's hardly been used need to find out what to use to clean the sticker out of the lavy sink. Towed the 106 miles back to where I live hardley noticed that it was there.

Well so far so good. Still keeping my fingers crossed...

Hankaye:
Congratulations! I like your taste and think that you hit the mark when you pulled the trigger. We have exactly the same unit and thoroughly enjoy it. Trouble-free so far other than worn shackles and bushings but it isn't any surprise since they probably just meet the minimum standards (if there are any) for suspension parts. Just replaced them the other day. You might keep an eye on them, as well as checking your alignment and signs of uneven tire wear. Just routine stuff but those shackles and bushings are, in a word, "cheap"!
Anyway, enjoy your "new" Cougar.

Best of luck with your RKS...

I have the "junior" version, a 2008 245 RKS and have been very happy with it.

Thanks for that heads-up.. I'll be sure to check them out. Although this is in near new condition and I don't think too many miles have been traveled with it. Still has the "new" (formalydihyde?), smell to it... Shouldn't take to long for that to go away. Whenever it decieds to quit snowing I intend to give it the Heat-up air out treatment.

Thanks again for the "heads-up";
