No luck seaching for info!
We have been looking at toy haulers for about a year now and mostly Raptors. The keystone web site is pretty helpful as they have old brochures still where alot of others dont! But we have recently been looking at the 2007 Model 3924 (it seems they only made this model a couple years) and are having hard time finding some info on it. Its not in any brochures. I have found normal specs, length, height, weight and stuff but am looking for a bit more. What weight axles does it have, tire size, is the rear door 7ft like most and stuff like that?
It seems from 2007 to 2008 the tire size/rating changed and so did the GVWR rating from 15,500 to 16,500 on most of the toy haulers, but the tire upgrade should allow a GVWR of 18,000ish. Is the tire size/rating the only change, or did they change the axle also? In 2010 they list 6,000lb axles but don't mention what they are before that year, I can only assume that atleast 2008 and up is 6,000lb axles and possibly 2007 older is 5,000? I only doubt this because the 2007 GVWR is 15,500 not 15,000. Most D rated 225x75x15 tires are rated around 2550lbs X 6 = 15,250. In 2010 some bigger models have a GVWR of 18,000 and smaller ones of 16,500, and in the brochure it states 10 or 12in frame but doesn't list what models have which frame, is the 12in frame the determining factor of whether its 16,500GVWR or 18,000GVWR, they all have the same size/rated tire! Did they change how they figure GVWR and maybe stop subtracting pin weight from the GVWR?
So I guess my concern for the 2007 is, the tires are an easy fix to gain some GVW, but how much? Is the axles the limiting factor or the 10in frame.
Thank you for any info.
