I'm planning a trip on that loneliest road from Sac to Denver. Suggestions?

Mostly take your time and enjoy the view. I was concerned about fuel so I made sure I had a full tank before starting but there were a couple of places along the way to get fuel.

Also typical of that area, it is a few thousand feet in elevation which I enjoy. That previous photo was taken at about 6,000 feet. The one below is at 4,600 feet.

What is the distance between fuel stops? Are there any warning signs? We might be taking that route this June. I appreciate the heads up!

Love this thread!

We don't have a Keystone yet but here are some of my faves with our Chalet:

John Martin State Park, CO

Pearl Lake State Park, CO

Arkansas Headwaters, CO

Purgatoire NFS CG, CO (Great spot but road to get there was awful!)

Nice pics of the chalet. We had one a few years ago before kids and it worked well

Thanks, Gtsum2. We've had it for about four years now and it's been great. We love it. I get misty at the thought of selling it. But then I think about having a toilet and walk-around bed and I feel better.

We obviously don't have this popup anymore but I always liked this picture from Potters Creek on Canyon Lake, TX.
