Rubber roofs need Painting??

Buying a new travel trailer. Sales man said every 4yrs must paint roof to comply with warranty. Is this right? Is this DIY project?

I have never heard of this unless this "paint" is some sort of protection package they are trying to sell you. Roof warranties are generally 10 years a all that is recommended by roof membrane manufacturer is regular cleaning with a mild detergent.

Well, I guess if the salesman said that then it must be true.

Get him to show you the warranty and where it says that it has to be painted every 4 years.

If he can't (And I'm sure he can't), I'd be tempted to go to the Sales Manager and voice my concern about this employee's competence. If that is kind of advice you are getting from this dealership, I'd be tempted to take my business elsewhere.

No, it's not a DIY project because it isn't something you need to do every 4 years. What he has told you is rubbish!
