San Simeon

We spent 4 days/nights last week at San Simeon SP (between Cambria, CA and Hearst Castle along rte 101 on the central coast). There were only 4 other campers in the entire Washburn campground. Washburn is about 1 mile up the hill from the ocean and is considered a primitve campground, although, there are designated campsites with picnic tables and firepits.
The weather was cool with a low of 30* and daytime highs in the upper 50s.
Due to the lack of rain, the park vegetation had that dry, end of summer look, but, the views of the ocean and the coastal hills were gorgeous.
Had 4 days of peaceful relaxation (no gangsta rap boomboxes, quads with loud exhaust, kids screaming, etc.).
We even had several unexpected, but, thoroughly enjoyed visiters
