Not sure if this helps. I have Reese WD hitch set up. Dealer had the chain links with 1 hanging loose. I checked the weight and found my front was 300 lbs lighter than empty. I drove it several hundred miles that way. No feeling of a light front end, like bad steering, braking. I reread the hitch booket and found I was hitching wrong. It says to hitch the trialer to truck than raise the trailer while hitched and put the WD bars on. I was putting the bars on with the hitch weight on the truck (jack raised). I did it correctly and got 2 hanging links, tried 3 and the bars were benting. I went over the scales with 2 hanging links and found I put 100lbs back on the front axle. I asked the service guys and he laughted saying that was close enough with my truck. I drove it 100 or so miles and found no difference in handling, steering, braking but, feel the more wt. put back on the front must help alittle with better braking. My final thought is that you are likely OK. If you have time try getting more wt. to the front with some adjustment.
