Amazon.com
I ordered my Eaz-lift WDH from Amazon. Paid just over $201 which was a great price. The two big bolts and nuts that hook the hitch to the ball mount were defective in that the nuts would only go about 3/4" onto the bolts. emailed Amazon and they are foing to credit my cc 20% of the cost of the entire unit to the tune of just over $40! Wow! That's awesome. I think I can get the same bolts and nuts at Ace.

Make sure the bolts are the correct "Hardness" (strength) There should be a number stamped on the head of the bolt. Be sure to match it or go higher.

Andy,
Those nuts and bolts should be "grade 8" most hardware stores carry a good selection of grade 5 and a few smaller size grade 8 bolts.
You might do better going to a RV store and getting them if your local "ace hardware" doesn't have them in stock.
As Hank said, doublecheck the markings on the bolts, make sure you get the correct grade !!!!!

They are grade 8 bolts. A grade 8 bolt will be marked with 6 hash marks on the bolt head,
http://www.boltdepot.com/fastener-in...ade-chart.aspx
You would be best ordering them from a place like Mcmaster,
http://www.mcmaster.com/#standard-cap-screws/=n8tf2p
This way you know you'll get the right grade and proper measure.
I've also found a decent selection at Tractor Supply and/or Farm and Fleet.
Good luck.

Three lines would be grade 5.

I think Camco offers a lifetime warranty on those hitches. Try contacting them and see if they will send you the correct bolts for no charge.
Is there a dimple on one of the flat sides of the nut???? If yes it is a locking nut and is working correctly. Just thinking out loud

Yes, there is a dimple but it's almost impossible to get the nut to go further than about 3/4 of inch onto the bolt.

That sounds about right. Without an impact they're incredibly difficult to drive.........
Maybe take it to a local shop and throw them a couple bucks to put it together.

To steal a line from a famous shark movie .... "I think we're gonna need a bigger wrench."
I would give Eaz-Lift a call before replacing the bolts ... they most likely are the correct ones.
