Suburban Water Heater issue

I have a Suburban SW6DE water heater. It starts and lights just fine, but after 10 minutes or so, it shuts off, thus not heating long enough. Anyone have any ideas?

Happened to me once

Happened to me on my first trailer... I never switched the winterize by-pass valve so it would fill the hot water tank. It would start for a few minutes and shut off... Can't be something that simple can it?

I do have the bypass valve turned off, so water goes into the water heater. I just do not understand why the heater turns off after only 10 minutes. I just bought this 2004 tail-gator, so I am new to this water heater. It is a gas only Suburban heater.

Would think you may have a bd high limit sensor. See here for a service manual

Thanks, I have ordered a new hi-limit switch. Hopefully, that will do the trick.
