Cavie is right. The neutrals are combined in that plug and the GFCI outlet needs to see the same current going out of the 20 amp outlet as what comes back on the neutral to the 20 amp outlet. Since the neutrals are combined the current will not be the same and the GFCI outlet will trip.

Well all is good IF the pedestal trully has a combined protection of 45 to 50 amps. In any older parks the pedestal may be on a shard circuit, I have seen four 30/15 amp pedestals on a shared 70 amp breaker, so using the 30/15 cord may be the straw that broke the camel's back.

You are assuming that the two sources feeding the adapter are different phases. If they are then yes the GFCI will trip. I've been in more than one cg where I've brought to management's attention the improperly wired or worn out 30 Amp NEMA TT-30R, 2P, 3W outlet. Typically cg "maintenance" will show up to replace it. I've had to explain to some of them why it was incorrectly wired as well as why the outlet was defective even though the contacts still carry electricity.

For someone using one of these at home you have a 50/50 chance that the outlet that the 15 Amp side and the 30 Amp outlet are the same phase.

GFI circuits can not share neutrals no matter how many phases are used!

Why risk damaging equipment. There's got to be a better solution. By the way, I agree with Cavie.

Well I'm at the Richmond Racetrack. I walk over to my old buddy who also has a Landmark 5th and what do I see? A splitter coming out of the pedestal into a 50 amp cord and into his trailer.
He has a dual 30 amp to 50 amp splitter. Works fine. I don't know what difference splitting from a 30 and a 15 would be. My Progressive EMS died last week or I would hook up my 30/15 splitter. I'm kinda scared to without it. I have a picture but I'm not working off my computer so I can't post it.
I'll post it in a few weeks if you really want.
Comments are welcome.

The difference between a double 30 amp slitter and a 30/15 amp splitter is, the 30/15 splitter will have the 15 amp plug connected to a GFI outlet, which will cause problems, but the double 30 amp does not see a GFI outlet.

More info...because of covid attendance is limited. The RV lots are are limited to half occupancy. Each RV has an empty space on either side. Normally 2 RV's share one pedestal that has two 30amp and two 20 amp outlets. So normally I wouldn't have access to both of the 30 amp outlets.
There is no obvious GFI protection..no reset buttons etc.
The weather here is mild...40 overnight and 70 as a high, so no need for A/C.
Since my EMS died I'm a bit scared to use the splitter.
