Outdoor Kitchen Modification - can we do this?

We have a Springdale 240BH with the outdoor kitchen.

We want to know if we can remove the small wall (as marked in the first picture) to extend the storage area.

Picture 2 shows what's behind the wall - a finished floor and walls. The roof is unfinished, but it's not like that's going to affect what we want to store there; paper plate, napkins and paper towels.

Is this as easy as popping a few staples, removing the wall and removing the wood bracket keeping the wall upright? We would probably move that wood bracket to under the new floor to support it.

Thoughts?

What’s on the other side of the back wall? I don’t see any reason you can’t use that space, just check before screwing anything to the wall.

There's a bunk behind the rear wall. We wouldn't screw anything in to the back wall (thanks for the reminder though). We only want a place to store our paper products as we are getting rid of our 3 drawer storage bin that we've been hauling with us (need more room for the kayaks in the bed of the truck).

We have a similar layout (Passport 240BH), but that compartment is 28” deep. I made drawers on part of the top shelf. Roughed out the drawer fronts for our current 3 week vacation trip but I have better looking ones to pop on when we get home. Each goes the full depth of the compartment and each runs on dual 100 lb. bearing drawer slides. The bottom one we have things like tablecloths, clips, and various other things we need to take out before popping in the sink spout. The top one we can access any time, and it has plates, napkins, pot holders, frying pans, coffee filters, coffee, can opener, bottle opener, etc.

Done! Super easy. The only tools required were used to install 2 cross supports under the floor (careful not to go into the storage compartment behind).

This gave us 15" of extra depth. Thanks everyone!

Nice! Just check to make sure the cavity doesn’t have any openings where mice could get in.
