Hi. I have a 2015 outback 316rl. I’m looking for help on a few things. My trailer is in a park. I seem to have mice in te front panel between the outer wall and the bedroom wall. How can I get to them? As well the led lights under the awning are not working. Can this be replaced. As well as the flood lights at the front do not work I’m assuming as the mice have probably hit the wires or chewed them. What type of yearly maintenance should I be doing as well. Thanks.

Welcome from Connecticut!

Mice can be a perpetual problem. To draw them out, you will need traps baited with peanut butter, or mouse bait that will draw them to a water source, When they drink they die so be sure not to have water available near the camper. If you go with snap traps, I would suggest that you anchor them. They aren't always an instant kill. The one time I didn't anchor, the little critter managed to wedge himself where I couldn't reach easily What a mess!

After you're "mouse free" there are precautions to take. I use crumpled tin foil to fill any access hole bigger than the tip of my pinky (plumbing, electrical drainage etc...). I also use CLING dryer sheets, but change them out when the scent is gone, as they make excellent mouse bedding, once the smell is gone! I've heard various reports about ultrasonic noise makers. I use three of them in my camper, and haven't seen any mouse signs in over three years when used in combo with the other resources. I prefer not to use poison once I'm "Buttoned up", as I really don't want a critter dead inside my rig.

As far as electrical issues, mice might be an issue. Before spending any money, I would check fuses and bulbs.

As far as yearly upkeep, try searching winterizing etc... There are several good posts on the subject.

Good Luck,

If it is a mouse problem, these traps solve the problem of having to anchor the trap: Pic Reusable Housing Mouse Trap Kit https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00YI7VR6W..._C5BADbNZFSXSS

But if your clue that you might have mice is hearing a "scritching" sound it could also be carpenter ants. I've had an ongoing problem with them in the ceiling of my cabin, which is insulated with Celotex panels. They could be nesting in the foam insulation of the front wall, especially if there has ever been a leak. This is the best solution I have found for carpenter ants: TERRO T300B 2-Pack Liquid Ant Baits https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00E4GACB8..._KaCADbHR0ZR54
