Cool Having a cover built for the trailer

I came out one day and there was a limb, that had broken off the pecan tree the camper is parked under on the ground beside the trailer, so I decided it needed a cover.

I am hoping it will be done this weekend.

Thanks folks

I think it is going to be awesome, much better than what I would have done on my own.

The posts are 6X6 and the beams are 6X12, western red cedar.

The guy is building by himself

He is off right now welding up the steel brackets while waiting for the metal roofing to come in. He also ran water and electric to it.

I'll post final pictures, when he is done... I just couldn't wait

The cover is pretty much done, he just needs to make some steel plates to tie the posts and beams together and plans on wrapping that up next week.

I am very pleased with the results.

It is a great looking cover! But my wife and I both wondered at the same time what you are going to do when you buy that new Montana in about three years?

Haha, The wife and I have discussed this and neither one of us feels the need for anything bigger, this camper is perfect for the 2 of us.

Thanks, I really am loving it.

I am thinking of adding some lights on it, since I have power and water to it.

Merry Christmas!

Looks pretty nice. I have been wanting to do the same thing beside my house as well. I go back and forth in my mind from trying to do it myself, to having someone else do it.... The cover you had built is pretty much what I have in mind.

I have a 20 by 40 up with 5 ft side walls waiting for a decent day to put the 21 ft roofing on.Its a lean too made from 2 7/8 drill stem on 10 ft centers and sucker rod for support. One of these days ill use the camera to load pictures on the PC and post it after the Quartzsite rally coming up.

Heh, If I had built it... I might be done by now... the wife says I am slow, I tell her I am thorough

It took the guy that built mine a little over a week and he did it by himself

If you decide to build one yourself and want some close up pictures, let me know.
