Towing with 2004 Toyota Tundra w/ Factory Tow Package

Has anyone towed a Keystone Passport 285RL (2009 model) with a 2004-2006 Toyota Tundra double cab w/ factory installed tow package and 4.7 V8? It is tough to get a straight answer on true capacities. Looks like it can handle the trailer but I cannot find out what class hitch the factory hitch is or the tongue capacity of it. I also have the Hensley Arrow WDH that came with the trailer. I may have hitched wrong or had a slight offset when backing up a hill and it bent the receiver plate. I replaced the plate, but do not want to do it again. I did find some processes that I did wrong (bad advice from previous trailer owner). The truck pulls the trailer without a problem, but I do not want to stress the hitch. Thoughts?

My trailer is a 24RKSWE 2012 Cougar towed by a 2012 Tundra, Dbl Cab, 2wh drive, 4.6V8, tow rating 8,200Lb with tow package. Below are scale weights observed on 8/24/13, see how they compare with your numbers?
Fully loaded Tundra, full tank of gas, both wife and I and trip load, total scale weight front axel 3,220Lb (3,900 Max), rear axel 2,340Lb (4,000 Max), truck total weight 5,560 (6,700 Max). Now add loaded trailer, truck front axel 3,100, rear axel 3,180, total for truck 6,280Lb, (6,700 Max) leaves 420Lb unused. 720Lb increase with WDH to truck. Trailer attached to truck both trailer axels on scale, trailer weight 5,500Lb (Max 7,200), GCWR 11,780 (Max GCWR 14,000). Trailer stand-alone weight Est. 6,220Lb. Tongue weight capasity 1,060. Check your manual and inside drivers doors for weights. Think the backing up a hill put a bind on your hitch!

Thanks!

Thank you for the reply. I am looking at weights now and so far all are within specs. I found a set-up problem with the previous owners procedure for the Hensley on the spring bars and that may level it a bit better. They had also lifted the jack all the way during hookup and unhooking, which placed a lot of stress on the hitch and truck (lifting it up). Really just need to get it off the load slightly in order to loosen tension or tighten it — so that along with backing up a hill in that configuration probably did it. At least I am hoping. I will let folks know how it goes.

My 1st question would be what does the owners manual say? From experience I did tow a travel trailer with a Nissan Titan which has very similar towing and performance spec's to the Tundra but I would not tow a 5th wheel with it
