Toilet Bowl Leak!

I have connection leak in the back of my 2012 BHS 11 Sprinter toilet bowl. i can not see where the leak is. how do i remove the toilet to look at the back connections? after i un- screw the lines, do the bowl swivel ,turn, lift or what? Thanks in advance. My extended warranty deduction is $200 so i think i can do this myself.

Welcome to the forum. To answer your question, our membership will need to know what brand of toilet you have and what model it is.

The ˝" PEX tubing is very stiff and any movement can cause a leak at the plastic ˝" MPT connection on the toilet and over tightening and stripping threads is very easy to do. What I did to solve this is cut the PEX about 2" from the floor and install straight stop valve like on your home toilet.
I used SharkBite 1/2 in x 3/8 comp. straight stop and then connected to the toilet with a 3/8 comp x 1/2 in FPT x 12 in faucet supply. (not a toilet supply which is 5/8 in for home toilet connection) This gives you some flexibility to make the connections and even allows room to disconnect the toilet from the floor and move to the side to change the seal if needed.
I made it sound harder than it really is but that is how plumbers stay in business.

Menee24, Howdy;

You probably have an Owner's Manual for it in the package of documents
the dealer gave you, that should tell you what make and Model you have.

If you have a Dometic SeaLand, it will have a hose clamp at the base
of the water inlet (square object at the back),
First turn off the water to the RV and depress the foot pedal.
The front cover is only held on by a small square of Velcro, pull it straight
out from the front of the commode. Next there is a large hose clamp holding
the bowel onto the pedestal you can use an 8 mm socket to loosen it up.
There are 2 halves (plastic), of the 'half-clamp' you can allow the metal hose
clamp to lay on the floor while you pull the clamping halves away.
You can now move the bowel forward to look at the water valve (square
thingy), a straight slot screwdriver to loosen it. Twist the hose off and inspect.
If no splits or the clamp was loose just ensure the hose is pushed up past the
raised bump and tighten the clamp above the bump. Re-install and check for leaks

Assembly is the reverse. One thing about the bowel half clamp assy. When
you go to tighten it snug it up then you will need to tap firmly all the way
around it then snug it up again. repeat a total of 3 times and it should be
uniformly tightened so it won't wobble loose and create another leak.
