Remote controlled Relay Board on 252FWRLS

Just acquired a 2010 252FWRLS Copper Canyon. Been refurbishing the battery bay. There is a Controller Board mounted in the bay too. Having watched YouTubes of the Keystone trailers being built, I see/hear references to such devices becoming more common on their trailers.
Question is: Did the 2010 stuff have earlier version of these "Controller" boxes.
AND, does anyone on the forum here have any knowledge of such?
Here are Pics (I hope) (newby here)..lol

It appears to provide for 4 fused ckts and a "light" (based on the markings).
And there is a little curly wire for an antenna it seems.
And, of course, there is no remote on the rig for it..

That looks like either a first or second generation LCI remote receiver. My guess is that if it still works, the cost of buying a transmitter would make it far too expensive for what it could do: Open/close the slide, raise front landing gear and deploy the awning. Right now, without the transmitter, there's no way to determine if the receiver is operational, so spending money to buy a transmitter may lead to even more expense if you also need a receiver.

This link is to a pdf file that describes the Lippert remote control systems. https://lci-support-doc.s3.amazonaws...cd-0003488.pdf

Would that be Kimshi or "Kimchi"?? My daughter's best friend was oriental and they ate a lot of kimchi (I didn't like it) but haven't heard of "Kimshi"..... No matter, I get the drift...

Anyways, we found the Remote for this Controller board squirreled away in the camper.
Battery dead, of course... Won't take a charge .. so, disembowled it see if the battery might be replaceable..
Probably, but not conventionally.
Here is a pic just for prosterity ..
I've seen that type battery before, but can't remember what in...hmmm

The best I've ever had was in a little "hole in the wall" in Kunsan, back in the 70's. Cucumber Kimshi with just enough red pepper to make it bite back. It was a "breakfast staple" on the weekends when I was doing volunteer work at the orphanage I sponsored while in Korea.

Yep, I believe I've seen battery packs like that as well but don't remember on what. Have you looked at the LCI website or tried to contact them? Are there any numbers on the battery to possibly enable a search?

Take a look at this video. The remote in it looks a lot like the one you have taken apart. Maybe it can be of some use.

That looks like a battery out of an old NOKIA cell phone. Some of the "early generation NiCad batteries were "soldered in place" and not considered "replaceable" although most of us "broke into the phones to fix them anyway"... Much like you're doing with that remote.

Some place like Batteries Plus should be able to get you a replacement... Only problem is it may cost more than the trailer is worth LOL

Actually, probably be best for me to not try to resurrect this dinosaur.
Looks like a great opportunity to harm myself by remote control.
But, it's fun poking around at it, and I'd just like to make it work for S&Gs..

Sort of like rebuilding that old chain saw that's been in the box, in pieces, for 10 years. A Saturday afternoon with nothing to do, it's raining, pull the box off the wall, piece things back together, make a part that's missing or broken and pull the cord... It starts !!!! Not that it will ever, EVER cut down another tree, but the personal satisfaction of having "made it work again" …. PRICELESS !!!!

I know how you feel about that remote

For sure ..
I'm gonna rig up a battery pack of AAA batteries. one battery at a time added in, and see if the screen will come on.
Sure glad Radio Shack once existed lol
