We have a couple of camping trips planned before pickling the camper. One is boondocking the last will be at a CG with full hookups which should probably be the best place to monitor black tank (flash light and toilet). I'll try chuster57's recommendation once the season is done. At the end of the day if it still doesn't work I'll consider taking it back to the dealer while still under warranty.

Before disassembling the underbelly, you may want to try the non-nuclear option to clean the sensors. After dumping, when you're sure the tank is as clean as can be, fill it about a third full of fresh water, glop in a healthy dose of Dawn detergent, and a bucket or two of ice cubes. Give it a medium long drive and let it slosh. Then give it a full flush and see if the sensors magically revive.
