TV Antenna
We are new again to RV'ing and this might seem as a stupid question but I have looked everywhere and can not find the antenna adjustment in our new Sprinter. Does the 2014 Sprinter 343FWBHS have adjustable antennas or is the newer digital omnidirectional?? Everything I can find from Keystone states to refer to the manufacturer manual but guess what the dealer didn't give me one. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

On our antenna, there is a spring-loaded plastic ring (dial?) between the crank handle and the ceiling. You should be able to gently pull down on it and then turn the antenna. There is an indexing arrow that aligns with the other half of the ring that indicates the 'park' or 'nesting' position so it will be properly positioned when you lower it. You should go on Winegard's (sp?) website and download the manual.

You could just look on the roof to see which type you have. If you see a disc type I believe they are not adjustable.

TV Antenna
Some of the newer omnidirectional antennas still have the wings, they are attached to the disc and point "side to side" and are about 10 inches off the roof.

Thanks for the replies. After further investigation I do not have an omnidirectional antenna but the antenna I have does not seem to have any crank or directional adjustments. My past experiences have shown that the crank handle is usually directly below the antenna but yet I can not find one.... anywhere. I am almost lead to believe that they covered it up when they installed the ceiling which is why I can not find it. Has anyone ever had the crank handle anywhere other than below the antenna? I guess I will have to take it back into the dealer to have them find it unless anyone has any other suggestions. I really do not wavnt to remove the ceiling panels to find it. It would be in the same panels as refrigerator, ceiling fan, speaker and light.

Can you post a pic of the antenna on the roof? I don't think the crank is covered up, as the factory would have to cut off pretty much the entire rod that attaches to the crank handle.

mwalker, Howdy;
Welcome to the forum.
If you purchased it 'Brandy new" from the dealer ask them to show
you the adjustment for the antenna. They should have during your
walk through prior to your signing the paperwork along with a
familiarization with all the functions and appliances contained within
the RV. You did get the walk-through tour aka a PDI ... ?

There are a few different antennas out there. Some crank up, some don't. Some rotate, some don't.
If yours cranks and/or rotates, you'll see a control knob on the ceiling, directly under the antenna.
Like chuckster posted, a pic of the antenna would help.

Ok I have attached pics of the antenna. It does not look to be adjustable but i am no expert... obviously. Does it look like an omnidirectional? All the pictures I have seen of the omnidirectional are round but chuckster said some of the new ones do have wings.

It looks like a Contin-us omni-directional antenna to me. They seem to be rated fairly well so I would be curious as to how you rate it's reception. JM2¢, Hank

Here's the installation guide for it. Definitely a fixed model (no rotation) http://continu.us/content/manuals/CO...500_Manual.pdf
Hopefully it gets better reception with those wings than the JENSEN Omni-Directional antenna (that's what's on my rig).

Thanks for all the help. We are about 60 miles north of Atlanta and can get only 5-6 stations. Before we moved 60 feet and are now facing the opposite direction we used to get about 20 which was the whole reason I was looking to make adjustments. Oh well I guess we will deal with it for now.

I feel your pain. I'm in the middle of the city right now and can't get the local ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, PBS, or even WB. I can only pick up a religious station, a station broadcasting HSN, and a few other misc ones.
I have a Leaf antenna with built in amp that I'm going to dig out and see if that does any better. Best of luck with yours.

Not to rub any salt in any wounds, that's the reason I take a standard def direct tv reciever and my winguard carry out dish. Watching "Ice Road Truckers" at the moment ( commercials as I'm typing).
