Adapt Existing Plug to Marine Plug

We want to adapt the existing plug in our Passport 195RB to a Marine Plug. Our RV dealer doesn't want to do it, says the kit will not cover the existing hole/space. Has anyone done this before? Any suggestions on covering up the space?

Go to the "Modifications and Upgrades" section. There is a thread going now about this being done.

Several people have done it. I did it and the new plug covered the old hole with no problems. I know some people have added square pieces of plastic then attached the new plug to it.

Fairly easy project and I am glad I did it. I also removed the small table where the cord coiled up in. This gave me a lot more room inside.

Here's a thread with the mod.

Here's my thread for the install. I just saw I never took pics of the finished job.
