Has anyone mounted a generator?

We camp off the grid often so we use a Honda eu3000 for AC, micro wave and battery charge. I had a great rack on the back of my TT but would like to mount/store it in the front of a 316RL. Has anyone tried such a thing? Take a look at this Wonder if there is room?

No, I'd be afraid of burning myself. Unless it was off for a while...Jim

Like the idea, BUT!

I like the idea; but I was told not to cut a hole in the bottom of the front compartment.

I'm still trying to figure out how to load a Honda 6500i in the pass-through storage compartment. Any ideas?
