X-chock placement
We're about to invest in a set of x-chocks to eliminate some of the movement in our Raptor.
When our dog (she's a 120 pound bloodhound) is on the back deck and she scratches, it shakes the whole thing like it's going to tip over.
Since our Raptor has three wheels/axles, do I need an x-chock between each wheel, so two on each side?

One on each side SHOULD lock things down I would think. Can't say I've ever seen triples with 4 X chocks, but I don't think it would hurt anything.

I agree. One on each side "should" do the same as two on each side. Essentially, if you stop a pair of tires from rolling, the third one can't roll either... I'd try it with just two and see what you think, you can always add more easier than you can take them back to get a refund.

I wonder if it would help the use them on opposite axles? Front and middle on one side and middle and rear on the other side.

Gonna slip in on this thread since it got me thinking. Newbie here with dual axle (40 years in tent and pop-up). Bought an X, but do I need two?

I think this would be more effective in preventing sprung movement.

Steadyfast is a great system, I bought my X chocks back in '07. Additional benefit is the ability to park on a steep slope and not worry about your trailer rolling away.

They certainly work for that purpose. My Faststep chock has been effective for that, also, but the movement really minimized with the Steadyfast system. It helps take the springs out of the equation. Floor flex...well, that's another issue.
