Thumbs up Followup on new hitch and truck

Really appreciated the guidance on my selection of a new hitch. As I said, I went with the Curt Q16 with the RAM factory mounting 'puck' setup. It installed very easily, and really hooks up very solid. I liked my old hitch, but this one is even better. It really feels like you make a good connection when you pull the latching lever tight. Have had a few issues with getting the small locking pin to go into the handle hole, but it's not bad. Where it is especially nice, is when unhooking, you pull the lever forward, and it pushes the kingpin out of the hitch without any issues. With the old hitch, you generally couldn't just pull the handle to release the pin, and I had to get in the cab and put the truck in neutral to release the pressure on the pin/latch, and then I could pull the handle.

This truck does make the RV sit nose high about about 5 inches, I understand it is based on my 5ver being a 1/2 towable model? At least the version I've heard elsewhere. Right now it has 5 1/2 - 6 inches of bed rail clearance, and that's exactly what the directions say for clearance, and have read about other have a few scrapes being at less clearance.

I hooked up to a "1/2 ton towable" fifth wheel last year (2014 Ram 3500 SRW) and the fifth was way nose high..my truck hardly squatted at all. Most of them come with 15inch wheels as well, which makes for issues with the newer HD trucks. My current rig has 16 inch wheels and has a pin weight of over 3000lbs, so I have 6-7 inches clearance and my rig is about an inch nose high

Same thing with my new truck, I didn't think it would be too big a difference once I hitched it up and the truck squatted with the weight on the bed... This truck doesn't even perceptibly move down, darn!
