Welcome to the forum from the Memphis area, Fred. Hope your trip is all you expect it to be. Shakedown cruises can be a little hairy.....

My shakedown cruise on this camper was in the winter (Feb). Stayed in a little campground w/full hookups. 29-30 degrees and about 30 mph wind. Decided to try out the black tank flush (previous trailer didn't have one). Hooked up the hose and had DW turn on the faucet full blast (wanted all the pressure we could to clean the tank - w/pressure regulator). Thinking "this is so cool" unti water erupted out of the connection like a sprinkler in summer nailing me right in the face and all over the front . I was hollering at the wife to turn it off while I was trying to disconnect it (and quickly turning into a popsicle) fearing all manner of damage . Come to find out the back flow preventer?/vacuum break was faulty or backwards - don't remember but the dealer fixed it. So yes, the shakedown trip can be "exciting" in some ways we don't think about!
