Help getting to Golden Gate Canyon State Park, CO

Anybody driven to Golden Gate Canyon State Park, Colorado from Denver with a large TT or Fifth Wheel? What's the best route, and do I need to worry about height clearance anywhere?

Best Route to Golden Gate Canyon SP

We live in Larkspur and were just at Golden Gate Canyon SP two weeks ago with a 33' 5th wheel. Take I-70 to the Central City Parkway exit, stay on the Parkway all the way into the traffic light in Black Hawk at the intersection with route 119. Turn left on 119 and continue about 10 or 12 miles +/-. You will take the second right hand entrance to the park, which is well signed, to get to the Reverend's Ridge Campground. DO NOT take the first right hand entrance that says Visitors Center as you cannot get to the campground with a rig from that entrance.

Have a great time, we loved it and will return often!!

Thanks for the detailed directions!

Can't wait to camp in the mountains, it will be our first time camping in Colorado. Going to spend a few days in Golden Gate SP and then down to Mueller SP for a few more days.
