I'd join that group.

Got the been there done that stuff to prove you can do it wrong and now that I got it right, I'll never go back.

I hope everyone appreciates the humor of all this. I certainly do!

Thanks for making my morning brighter with a good laugh.

Mike

I've said (and yes, I stole it from somewhere but don't remember where I heard it first) that "people don't know what they don't know".....

It works that way with towing just like it does with "whatever the topic was when I first heard it"....

I can say from experience that what I "thought" was a good towing rig was proved to be a "disaster waiting to happen" when compared to an "honest" good towing rig. What I thought to be the way it's supposed to be, was, in fact, a terrible combination of truck and trailer, but it was all I'd ever towed, so to me, it was the way it was supposed to feel when towing something "big"..... I've read much the same from a number of people on the forum, once they finally get a "well matched tow vehicle/trailer.

You simply don't know how a "good towing rig" handles until you're behind the wheel of one. All the "experience" with marginal equipment only prepares you to believe that "it's supposed to be this way" as you "white-knuckle the rig down the highway. If that's all you've ever known, then you have nothing to compare and believe that what you're driving is "like it should be"..... UNTIL YOU FINALLY EXPERIENCE REAL TOWING......

It works with compressors, with generators, with tow vehicles, with tools, with books, with Televisions, with speakers, with...well, with anything. If your "experience" is all you rely on, you'll always live "inside your box"....

Maybe the "pin on the backside" of these badges will "puncture the bubble" and let some knowledge in ????

And yes, I've been accused of being a member (even a leader) of the WP on this and other forums more times than I can count.... It's good to finally have a badge.

Thanks, Manny

I actually carry a Monopoly "Get out of jail free card" in my glove box! Probably won't help, but it might set the mood? LOL

Haven't needed it yet in 40+ years, knock on wood! Only had one problem in Prince George County, MD. It was a shake-down attempt! He didn't get very far into it before I lit up my "Tin" (former LEO) and demanded to see the watch commander.
