Onan 5.5 gen battrey set up

Hello all, new to this sit. But in need some help on making my gen set to have its own battrey, not the house set up.been looking on line for help but no good luck. So if any one has done this? Need help. Thks

Thks, but still no anise on how to find the wire for its own battery? Hope some can tell me how to find the wires. Hard to see them or find them

If you look at the generator unit, on the left side bottom corner there should be a ground lead and the hot lead will be attached to a solenoid just inside the frame.

As you're standing in front of the generator looking at it, the muffler is on the right and the battery cable/remote control wiring entrance is on the left end of the generator (the opposite end from the muffler).

OOPS: Looks like Chuckster57 and I were typing at the same time...

Looks like a lot of dif wires in a loom? I guess I will call onan to find what one of these wires I need to use . Thks. Also found 8 in the loom of wires? Coming out. Thks all will try to find the two I need. One I did fine but the one for the outher one will great 4 white 2 blue 2 red out of the loom going some place?

That loom of wires is for the remote start. What your looking for is a red and black BATTERY cable. They are going to be large diameter and have a crimped eye on the end. If your standing at the gen and need help, PM me with your phone # and I can call you.

Ok to day got cummins to help me with the gen to charge my battery's when running. Will 250.00 $$ now it charges and keeps all batteries up to par. Why they did not in stall it when they put them in??? So rn a the gen for 5 hours and all three bat Up to full charge. Wow Thks Onan gen ... And Thks to all of you for your in put...john w
