Actually, we have had this discussion about two years ago, so it's buried by other postings. If I remember correctly, Festus2 called Dicor and posed this question to them. They confirmed that petroleum products were not to be used on EPDM, and they confirmed that their caulk contained a very small amount of petroleum product. However, if I remember correctly, they also explained that the problem with caulk containing petroleum products occurs when the petroleum vapors are trapped against the EPDM. As their caulk has only a minute amount of petroleum product, this amount is quickly disappated as one applies it, so it is not trapped against the EPDM. However, using something like silicon caulk is not recommended as the petroleum vapors are outgassed from the caulk and held against the EPDM.
So, again, if it contains petroleum distillates . . . No. If it contains citric acid . . . No.
