1st trip of 2013... Newport Dunes

We are heading out for our 1st trip for 2013 and simply cant wait. We are headed to Newport Dunes in Newport Beach, CA. Definitely not roughing or anything but its a great place for the kids and has lots of stuff to do. 3 nights and 4 days. Aside from chasing around three kids, it should be a blast and the weather is gonna be decent (65 to 70 degrees).

Fun! Let us know how it is. I'm sure it will be much more pleasant this time of year (crowdwise) than summer. Have a great time!

Have a great time! I'm feeling a bit green with envy this morning, but I can't complain, I've already taken my first trip.

I've never been there, but it looks tempting, though expensive. If the place isn't a madhouse, I'll give it a try someday.

We had to do it once...but never again unless we won a trip. Kinda like my trip to Bora Bora. 7 days and nights. Cost was over 9K

It,s very nice, if you get a spot in the front by the water. But I think you are really paying for the "Newport beach" Name. Vail lake resort is my Favorite place to go. I think the busy season is summer.

$99 per night

We paid $99 per night, beach front, for Fri, Sat, and Sunday night on Super Bowl Weekend... Not bad for a close trip with a decent amount of amenities for the kids.

I do agree, Summer is pretty tough on the wallet!
