Major sinus issues while in trailer

I am having a real tough time with sinuses when in the new trailer. Worst in the bedroom. I have read about degassing and formaldehyde in new trailers. The main symptom is swollen sinuses to the point where I can't breathe at all through my nose. Miserable!! It can happen in as little as 5 minutes after walking in. Does anyone else have this issue?

Heard a good air purifier can make huge difference. A couple of RV forums suggested Austin Air. They 'start' at $418. That is really expensive. Any suggestions?

My suggestion would be to see your health care provider and seek his/her advice. We are not medical professionals and would be doing you a disservice if we were to offer suggestions on how to address your sinus problem or to offer advice on air purifiers or any other similar devices.

I think we'd like to help but I really think you would be better off asking a medical professional.

Really? Thanks, I think (??). I come from a medical family. Father is still practicing. I see my allergist for regular allergies as recent as last month. And I am up to date on all my other shots.

This only happens in the trailer. You act as if this an unknown issue. Try googling it. I am not alone. Very well known issue with RVs. Just asking if anyone else is experiencing this and what they are doing about it. Thanks again...I think

It's not whether or not this is a "known problem" it's whether or not anyone on the forum has enough "personal medical information" as well as "diagnostic ability" to provide you with a "long distance internet diagnosis" or a "medical plan of care" for what's wrong with you. As Festus2 indicated, you'd be much better served discussing this problem with your father (who is still practicing) and with your allergist. Both of them can provide you with necessary information that wouldn't be "speculative" in nature.

Good luck with your allergy problem, but you won't receive any diagnostically appropriate information on this forum. We discuss RV's and how to use them, repair them and enjoy them. We simply aren't qualified nor authorized to address specific medical issues affecting those who use RV's. Sorry.
