Walsenburg-Cortez

We plan a tow from Walsenburg, CO to Cortez, CO via 160 next week. Doable with a 37' 5er?

Very doable, in fact its done by 1,000s of RV's every summer. Its about a 5 hour drive depending on traffic and how many pit stops. The highlight is going over Wolf Creek Pass, which is a long steep pull, but good road. Going down the west side is steep, about 7% grade, and has a sharp turn half way down. Just gear down, use the eng brake to keep it slowed, its a hill you can burn your brakes out on if you ride the brakes all the way.
Also be aware the Colorado Highway Patrol runs radar checks almost everyday on the pass and many of the small towns you'll go thru on 160 have their local police out on radar traps where the 65 MPH limit drops to 40 or 30 as you go through each town.
