Using Visible in a Rv
i bought a 5g hotspot that includes a sim, Replaced My Crappy T-Mobile Home Internet with it immediately after getting far better Speeds. i had to check my coverage first but it was worth it. The speeds are below.
ask Support any questions you want to ask, i needed to know if i was in a good coverage For 5g.
i linked it here for others to buy one if you like. https://mossys-network-solutions.mys...month-included

OK, I'm a bit confused. Since I retired, I don't keep up on all the latest "stuff" any more. Literally, I'm burned out on technology.
Are you now using Visible. And what advantage does that device in your link do that for $375 that a $75 ZTE cell phone with hot spot and a GL Net Router - click here for $89 won't do?
Speed test? You can get free apps on any phone for that?

The R Life Camground Reviews has a free speed test as well.

i had my nephew help me setup the hotspot, from what i know the hotspot reads the sim card without the need of any extra attachments.
im using Visible as my source for Home Internet, The $375 device shares wifi without the need of a phone/cable/GL Net Router.
it shares 5G Data Speeds & if 5G is not available it Goes Back To 4G LTE Until i get into an area with 5G Cellular Coverage.
i don't need to do extra things to get better speeds or the need of an extra phone setup with cables.
my speeds are not below 50 or stuck/limited to a 4g lte device or constant resetting up because of a GB limit or app threshold.
The Router allows For one ethernet connection but i have it plugged into a Ethernet Splitter For More Devices That need it Connected Over Ethernet instead of WI-FI.
The SpeedTest is an app Called ookla, it connects me to a near tower & Gives me an accurate Speed analysis of what my speeds are.
i am paying for the Visible Wireless $25 Basic plan.

Ok so the 375 is for the hotspot/router unit, and 1 months of services, and then you pay the $25 a month for the service with Visible. I think that is what your saying.

That’s correct, I’m technically paying for half the speed of home internet.

Due to recommendations from posters here, I recently tried Visible's free trial during a recent two-week trip to Colorado.
My issues were that being in the desert Southwest I routinely travel through a lot of areas where my phone provider's signal (T-Mobile) is weak or nonexistent; and although T-Mobile gives me unlimited data, that doesn't extend to "tethering." Activate the phone's hotspot or cable it into a computer or streaming TV, and that data is counted against a different bucket, which you can't refill even by paying a fee -- once it's empty, it's empty for the rest of your billing month. I also wanted a plan that worked pay-as-you-go, so as not to be paying when my rig was idle... which a poster here told me was easily achievable simply by not paying my Visible bill until I was ready to use it again (I would never have thought of that)!
My plan was to buy an LTE hotspot unit to run the Visible account, and leave it in the rig to "cut the cord" to (possibly poor or nonexistent) CG WiFi, and so I could monitor my trailer's systems and my pet remotely when away. However, I didn't want to make the investment in equipment until I could try their service out, so for the trial period I just had them add it as a second line to my iPhone so I could make sure it worked in all the ways I needed.
I was disappointed in the results. In urban areas, both carriers worked fine (of course). In many of the areas we traversed where T-Mobile had no signal, Visible had none either. That left areas where one service worked but not the other. I was hoping that Visible would have an edge here due to Verizon having slightly superior coverage over T-Mobile... but it didn't. In fact, at our destination CG in (urban) Pueblo, we had fine T-Mobile signal, while Visible's was too weak to be used.
As far as the speed went, both of the services met our requirements, as long as they had sufficient signal. One may have been faster than the other, but given our usage patterns, it was all surplus capacity that we couldn't detect.
Bottom line is that I'll probably pop for a Visible account (and my router equipment) prior to our next long outing, just to get the convenience of pay-as-you-go, and hope we luck out in terms of signal coverage. But I'm disappointed that I didn't see the expected coverage improvement from Visible.

Visible is Verizon based. I've actually done the opposite and used Google FI which is T-mobile based, although I've switched to Visible for our phones. I've found it fairly reliable along the east coast whenever you have cell service at all!

From what I've read, Visible can terminate your use if the SIM card is not in a phone (in their TOS). Some people have gotten warning letters. I was looking into putting a Visible SIM into my Verizon jetpack. The jetpack with external antenna has been great. It doesn't sound like it's a long term option. If I go the Visible route, I would connect a Visible Motorola phone to my GLI router.

Where I live, AT&T signals are generally best; Verizon a close second and T-Mobile not so much. We use Consumer Cellular currently two lines for those over 50 years old is $60 plus all the taxes and fees. Unlimited to 50 gigs of data per person (that would be 100 gigs for a couple). We use a HiBoost 5G cell booster w/external antenna and WiFi router as part of the package. Consumer Cellular can use either AT&T or T-Mobile towers.

I've heard the same. But the equipment I plan to use is enterprise grade with settable IMEI, so I'll just re-use one from one of my old phones.

One of Mikrotik's LTE units for the proper US bands (many of them are EU only). I have about 20 years professional experience with these units, so I can set them up in my sleep.

Let us know how it works. The GL.inet LTE routers look to have the similar options. I have a current GL.inet travel router (non-LTE) and have been impressed with what it can do.
