I carry a 10' Keller Telescoping ladder similar to the Little Giant (at less than 1/4 the cost). I have a 24' Bullet ultralite with no factory ladder, I just throw the Keller in my pickup box in case I need to get topside or clean off a slideout before closing. I would guess the weight at 35-40#, but I think anyone w/o a slideout cover should have a way to clean off the top before closing the slide. Because my roof is not designed to support foot weight I also carry two 2x4 pieces of 1/4" plywood.

Just purchased an Ohuhu 12.5 ft Aluminum Telescopic Extension Ladder, which is really compact (less than 40 x 23 x 5 inches.) and can easily be stowed in the basement compartment. That will replace the 8 ft step ladder that I currently stow there.

Just got an ad from Harbor Freight in the mail & noticed they now have the telescopic ladders, don't recall the exact price, but thought that's much cheaper than Camping World or other RV stores.

The HF ladder is 14'. There are hundreds of choices, all "cheaper than" or "more available than" or "with a storage bag" or "some other consideration" that make them attractive for some and not for other buyers. All are "appropriate choices" for some and "not so good" for others.... Buy what's your best choice for your reasons....
