Digital Water Meters

We recently met a couple who, while filling their freshwater tank, used a digital water meter connected between their hose and their trailer.

Our meters are unreliable so we’ve been looking for a good means of measuring potable water flowing into our freshwater tank. We see a variety of meters online ranging from $15 to $50. Is anyone using a meter? Can you recommend yours?

Thx. Moda & Cherry

I have been thinking about one too. I have a question /concern I need to answer to myself. How many parks have I been to that have actually had a screw type fitting on the end of the fresh water tank fill to utilize the meter.
At home it would come in handy for adding travelling water to fresh and black. How cheap and reliable would it be?

JMO, but its a gadget I wouldn't bother with. If your just filling enough for the bathroom while in the road, just watch the monitor panel and stop at 1/3, The fresh tank sensors are the ones I would say stay the cleanest and therefore are the most accurate. Want a full tank? just fill until it comes out the overflow or tank vent.

I have used this one for about a year, no issues, works great.

I use it when flushing my black tank with one of the clear sewer adapters with valve. I know my tank will hold 42 gallons, usually put in 35 gallons per flush, repeat until it runs clear.

I use the same one. On a previous 5er I had to remove the fresh water tank to fix a squeaky floor. Since I had it out I thought I'd fill it using my water meter.
It held exactly the 54 gals thats stated for the 5er specs. Filled right to the top.
I also checked it with a 5 gal bucket. It's amazingly accurate.
Where I find it useful is when filling and only needing say 20 gals for travel. Not knowing the PSI coming out of the spigot I can use the water meter to take the guess work out.
My idiot lights on the panel actually show the fresh tank full when I can still add 20 more gals. Having the water meter allows me to fill the fresh tank and know exactly how much I have in it.

Thanks for all the replies. We opted for the suggested Amazon water flow meter. We received it today and will give it a go. Cherry & Moda
