More Then Storage Lot Issues
I haven't read every single reply so I hope not to be to redundant. When I bought our Montana we thought the solid steps were the best thing since sliced bread. Well after a year I wish we had the old pull out style steps. It started with the storage lot being unable to open the steps then continued to the highway rest area's when somebody pulls beside you. Then the things you don't think about, when you flip the steps inside your camper, any dirt left on them is now on your camper floor including a lot of water should it be raining when you pack or leave. And last but not least, be careful leveling your camper with the steps down. Most times when we arrive at a campground one of us needs to run to the bathroom, don't forget to raise the steps back up into the camper before leveling, you could easily lose your door and or bend the steps. And then there is our dog whom after several slips/falls and hitting his chin refuses to use the steps and we now need to carry him in and out. Hoping to solve that with carpet wraps to get his confidence back up enough to use the steps again. On the positive side they are sturdy!
