Dometic CCC2 Thermostat frozen in place

My thermostat has just frozen in place, zone 1; we have 2 zones.

I can't reset it, I can't turn it off, I can't use the other buttons to change anything.

I tried to unplug it and replug it in hopes that it would do something, no go.

Help, any suggestions?

So to be clear you remove the CCC2 thermostat off the wall and unplugged the telephone cable? If so did you leave it remove for a few minutes before reconnecting ?

Once reconnected does the blue back lite turn on but it’s frozen still and you cannot perform a reset of the thermostat?

If so thermostat has failed

One other thing you could try is see if you can enter a Diagnostics mode... this is nit the same as factory reset.

See pic for sequence of keys to press... if you can enter diagnostics then exit and see if you can do a reset

To exit simply press the power button

May not help but worth a shot....

update. It is working.
here is what i did.
disconnected cable from thermostat. waited about 1/2 hour and for the heck of it I also disconnected batteries--(probably didn't have anything to do with it) but when I reconnected the cable it worked again. Yea!

Yes by removing DC power you removed it from the Zone 1 air conditioner control module. This is where that thermostat gets its power. The control module on the roof had a glitch on the CANBUS line that talks to CCC2

You might find this useful for another day. It’s written to cover both CCC2 and In Command with HVAC control and no thermostat. I created this for Alpines but it will apply to most other Dometic CCC2 installations.
