Has anyone had any luck with filing complaints on the extreme fading on just one side of the 5th wheel ? They claim not covered under warranty , our fault. I have a friend with the exact same rig with the exact same fading. Our RV is well taken care of. We started contacting the dealer in 2021 . We purchased it new in 8/2018 . Within the 3 years . Thank in advance for any input

I don't think you'll have any success trying to get Keystone to fix fading on a 5 year old trailer....or most any out of the 12mo. warranty. Fading comes from several things; exposure to the sun or not, frequent washing waxing with UV protection or not etc. The exterior material of the trailer is very susceptible to oxidation unless cared for aggressively. If let to sit, even 6 mos., year to year, it's going to oxidize. Your task at this point I'm afraid will be remediation. Sounds like it sits most of the time with one side to the sun.

The problem started only 2 years after we purchased and started a complaint then. I have years of dragged out replies. Its not the prevailing side which is interesting . It was cared for aggressively. Its moved ,never sits in same place for more than 3 months other than stored in a covered garage . We met people with same RV same problem same side . Its just weird. This is our 6th Rv never had such a problem . Just frustrating .Moving forward with Attorney General. Who knows . i have to at least give it a shot. Thanks for input

Good luck. Oxidation is a fact of life with RVs so be prepared for an answer you don't like.

I have a 2018 and mine was really bad.
I’ve noticed the gray color seems to show oxidization much more than my previous trailers which were white.

Have you polished it with some gel coat polish? Specifically something for heavy oxidation?

When I bought my trailer the previous owner had removed the graphics and never had it polished properly; resulting in seeing lots of “ghosting”.

I finally said screw it and had it professionally polished. Not cheap, but well worth it.
