New member but not new to RVing
Hello from TX where we are volunteering at our 4th State Park in this state but have been workamping for 6 years and full time RVing for 8. Bought our second Cougar last spring, new. Have had some issues but now got them fixed under warranty. Repairs can be difficult when you are full time. They want to keep it in the shop until the parts come in and you have to explain it is your house and you have a job to do that requires you to have your house on site.
Two humans and 2 dogs in our house
Already got some good advice here about our Summit TV remote issues so thanks!
Mary

Hello Mary and welcome to you and the family!
Workaming is something me and my wife have thought about doing, maybe in a few years. Good way to meet new people and see different parts of the country.
Take care and have fun!

Welcome to the forums and congrats on getting your new camper! My wife and I, both, work camped for a couple years during Covid. We owned our own house, but hit the road and took advantage of being told to leave the building and work from home. So, home was on the road. It was a fantastic lifestyle for a good 2 years. We'd return home some and then take off again.
We are currently "home". My wife had some surgery which has us grounded for the moment, but we'll be gearing up again by the end of April. I retired a year ago, she's still working, so we are booking sites around her work (and of course, places with good cell phone service for our internet connections).
It's a really great lifestyle. Unlike you, we do have our house to return to when we need to. We had some repairs done to the trailer over this Winter that meant keeping the trailer on the repair shop's site for a while. So that made coming back to the house not so bad.
Hey! Enjoy that new camper! and again ... Welcome to the forums! Life is great!

Connecting with some dealership to perform warranty repairs is not for the faint of heart. Fortunately I only buy very used campers and do all the stuff needed myself. Just curious; what kind of dog critters are those in your profile picture? Welcome to the site! As an experienced camper you can probably chime in with advice and help a lot of folks.

My daughter's FT job is a service advisor for a large RV dealership. She told me to buy older because they're better built, can work on it yourself and don't buy it from a dealer. Thought she was having a case of the "Mondays" but from my endless research, I'm seeing that as a common piece of advice!
